Start of an idea 3rd of May 2020

On collecting front found items I started to sort and come up with ideas for some of the assemblages this was one of the first ideas it consisted of the shape of the skipping rope creating it into a snail and then having the discarded pink plastic party little girl stuff to follow, much like a snail trail. Then from that I went down the path of creating or thinking about the legacy of children and the legacy of what we’re doing with what we’re buying and using so I extended and designed a little boy legacy with a lot of blue materials and made it a shape of a gun. This feels like it’s been the longest semester in history because of all of the drama that has been dragged along with it so I may be repeating myself but I just wanted to start with a description, phase, series of photo shoots to submit. From the multiple of items collected I started to come to the realisation that I had to figure out how to connect it all and assemble these items although I collected A lot of stuff nature, plastic, metal, what really did stand out was that I was attracted to bright colours and plastic so from that you can see below in this picture that majority of it is plastic and from the Pictures in the past blogs.

Ideas around assembling the assemblages

This is where changes started to happen with the work because I came to the realisation that I didn’t want to use more plastic ideas formed from previous blogs mention around freezing, squashing, melting, submerging, and assembling.

The next series of posts will be series of photo shoots and works they won’t make sense they are not connected the only thing that connects them is the fact that they are found objects and a waste for these works I want the viewer to take into consideration how wasteful we are and what we are doing to the planet OR I want them to develop their own narrative with in the several series of works.
